Original Superfoods Irish Moss Green 350 Grams

Original Superfoods Irish Moss has the Latin name Euchema Cottonii and is available in Red, Green, and Gold varieties.

Euchema Cottonii, like Condrus Crispus and Kappaphycus alvarezii, is part of the red algae family.

This family of red seaweeds is characterized by the presence of carrageenan in their cell walls. Originally, only Condrus Crispus was used to produce carrageenan. As demand increased and new applications emerged, new seaweed varieties were added to the carrageenan production process.

What is the difference between Red, Green, and Gold Irish Moss?

Red and Green Irish Moss are shade-dried to preserve their natural color, flavor, and phytonutrients. They have a strong ocean flavor. Gold Irish Moss is dried in direct sunlight, where it loses its natural color and some of its strong ocean smell and flavor. It is still packed with all the nutrients and is preferred for use as a thickener in food.

Irish moss is rich in protein, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, including iodine, iron, calcium, and magnesium.

Compared to Seamoss, Irish moss is slightly more expensive, but of higher quality and maximum nutritional value!
