Craving something simple yet surprising? These grilled peaches with a sweet and herby honey-basil glaze make the perfect summer dessert. Delicious with ice cream, mascarpone, or just on their own — ready in minutes and full of flavor.

Grilled Peaches with Honey-Basil Glaze

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: mascarpone, Greek yogurt, or vanilla ice cream for serving

Preparation:

  • Preheat a grill pan or barbecue to medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, mix the honey, dried basil, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  • Grill the peaches cut side down for about 3–4 minutes until grill marks appear. Flip and grill another 2 minutes on the rounded side.
  • While still on the grill, brush the warm peaches with the honey-basil glaze so the flavors can soak in.
  • Serve warm with a spoonful of mascarpone, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or just as they are — warm and sweet.

Tips:

  • Dried basil has a stronger flavor than fresh, so use it sparingly.
  • You can also make this recipe with nectarines or apricots.
  • For extra crunch, top with chopped pistachios.
