In its natural state, Vitamin C is unprotected and susceptible to degradation in the harsh environment of the digestive system. To counter this, Zooki has developed a method to encapsulate Vitamin C in "Liposomes"—tiny bubbles composed of the same building blocks as cell walls. These liposomes create a protective shield around the Vitamin C, safeguarding it from stomach acid and enhancing its absorption across the gut wall into the bloodstream.
