Bovine colostrum contains a wide range of naturally occurring immune factors, amino acids, nucleotides and growth factors. Colostrum is a special immune-active fluid secreted by the mammary glands of cows for about three days after giving birth. Dairy cows can produce up to five gallons of colostrum just within their first milking.
