Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) breaks down easily into water (H2O) and oxygen (O). It is this oxygen that gives Hydrogen Peroxide its huge range of beneficial uses.

In 1880, a French physician named Jacques Lugol originated a solution which contains 5 percent of elemental Iodine in a 10 percent solution of Potassium Iodide. It has been used steadily ever since.
