To prevent this, Zooki has developed a method to encapsulate vitamin D in "liposomes"—tiny bubbles composed of the same building blocks as cell walls. These liposomes form a protective shield around the vitamin D, protecting it from stomach acid and enhancing its absorption through the gut wall into the bloodstream.
