Essential Oils

Sesame is the preferred massage oil of Ayurvedic practitioners. It is particularly high in vitamin E and calcium, and is a warming oil.

Sunflower is a light and economical oil very popular amongst massage therapists. It is good for all skin types especially dry skin.

Benzoin is sweet, rich, vanilla-like and is of a warm amber colour.

Absolute Aroma's Breatheasy includes Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Ravensara and Tea Tree.

One of the more masculine scents of the essential oils.

Cinnamon Leaf was once regarded as a precious substance, especially in temples as an ingredient in incense. Today Cinnamon Leaf is often used in perfume for its warm, spicy, "oriental" notes.

The natural alternative to the senses. A great blend of citrus fruits to increase the senses and mood.

Eucalyptus Globulus is a wonderfully clearing, camphoraceous essentail oil. It is excellent for colds and chills. Australian Aborigines refer to the plant as 'Kino' and bind the leaves to serious wounds.

This blend is a useful addition when studying.

Grapefruit has a wonderful uplifting aroma, like many of the citrus oils, and is also cleansing, clarifying and refreshing. We have selected this excellent oil for its clean, fresh odour. Grapefruit oil is also great for promoting a 'lightness of spirit' in times of tension and worry.

The natural alternative to soothe and clear a tired mind.

Lavender is the most widely used essential oil in aromatherapy, particularly for its relaxing and antiseptic properties.

This tangy oil has a clearing effect which makes it particularly useful when recovering from general winter illness. It is very effective used in an oil burner or electric diffuser as it is antibacterial but also a good oil to refresh, uplift and clarify.

Lemongrass can be very refreshing and relaxing and is commonly used as an insect repellent. Lemongrass oil helps to revive a tired mind and is a great tonic to revitalise the body.

Mandarin is considered one of the gentler oils out there, making it popular for use by pregnant women and on children (in low dilutions). It has a sweet, gentle, tangy aroma and similar actions to Sweet Orange and Bergamot. It is a great oil for irritability and tension with the ability to uplift and calm.

From the lamiaceae family originating in Spain, the whole plant is strongly aromatic. The oil has a warm, penetrating and slightly eucalyptus type odour.

Containing essential oils reminicent of Christmas, such as Pine, Cinnamon, Clove & Orange, this aroma is ideal to create the perfect festive atmosphere with this blend! This blend is also a lovely, warming blend to diffuse all year round.

Sweet Orange has a wonderful warm, citrus aroma, to calm the mind and uplift the mood. The oil is well known to calm digestive problems. It has similar relaxing properties to that of Mandarin and Bergamot.

Cedarwood's anti-septic, deodorising and insect-repellent properties make it a very useful oil for burning or diffusing.

Eucalyptus Globulus is extremely useful during the winter months.  It can be very effective in a steam inhalation.
