Original Superfoods Organic Sunflower Seeds 1000 Grams
Sunflower seeds come from the well-known yellow Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) which originates in South America. In Mexico and Peru for more than 5000 years ago these seeds were eaten by the Indians. Sunflowers for the Incas also had a spiritual meaning and were honored by them as picture of their Sun God. There are two types of seeds, black and black and white gesptreepte. The black seeds contain more oil, making which is usually used for the production of sunflower oil and as bird food.
Sunflower seeds are rich in the vitamins E, B, B6 and B11. They contain the minerals manganese, copper, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and selenium, polyunsaturated fatty acids, fiber and protein. Because of their nutritional value they are very suitable as meat substitutes in vegetarian meals.
