Is Stipp® BPA free?
Both the bottle and cap are BPA free. BPA is the abbreviation for Bisphenol-A. This is a chemical substrate that makes plastic softer. The transparent container is made from Eastman® TritanTM, a BPA-free plastic that is also FDA approved.
What is BPS?
BPD is Bisphenol-S an organic compound that is associated with a hormone-disrupting effect. Stipp® is also BPS free.
Is Stipp® also food safe?
Yes. The transparent part of the bottle is made from Eastman's TritanTM. This plastic and the plastic of the cap are both food safe and BPA and BPS free.
Does the bottle smell like plastic or is there a plastic taste?
Stipp® does not smell like plastic and does not give off (plastic) taste. The water container is made of TritanTM, this material has glass-like properties, is non-porous and very smooth. This prevents odors and tastes from getting stuck in the bottle.
