Maine Coast Sea Vegetables Dulse Flakes 113 Grams
The dulse flakes come from the waters off Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, Canada. Those waters are part of the Atlantic ocean, and more specifically, the Gulf of Maine.
Dulse contains various nutrients and is rich in minerals and trace elements including: calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, chromium, iodine, copper and zinc.
Why is there such a price difference between the dulse flakes 113 grams and the dulse 56 grams leafs?
Because the good looking, fully intact Dulse leaves are less common. We have three full time employees who spent 8 hours per day picking through the dried dulse to find the best pieces that go into the 56 gram Dulse bags. We can use much more of the plant when we mill the dulse into flakes, granules, and powder.
OCIA Certified Organic and a Raw Food.
The Organic certification process ensures that the dulse is grown and processed without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, antibiotics, or hormones. And, that it is grown without genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
