Water hyssop (Bacopa monnieri) is a perennial, creeping herb native to the wetlands of southern India, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America. Specifically, this powder originates from the water hyssop in India. Bacopa is a medicinal herb used in traditional Ayurveda, where it is also known as Brahmi, after Brahmā, the God of creation in hinduism.
